This webpage uses data published by the MBTA to examine ridership and performance metrics in the third quarter of 2022. Each line is plotted by origin and destination, with the options to select each line and origin available through drop-down menus.
The average time between each station is represented through rail ties on the tracks between the stations, each of which represents 20 seconds. Gate entries for this quarter are also represented through the stick figures to the right of each station, with each figure representing 40,000 gate entries at the station. For stations with no data, primarily the above ground Green Line stations, an icon indicates that no data is available. Stations where transfer is available to another colored line are indicated through the station’s outline and the branches to either side.
